Whether you're between leases near Broadway, downsizing a house in Nutana, or parking a few rooms of furniture while a Stonebridge or Evergreen build gets finished, Saskatoon has more storage than most people expect — from the north industrial area down to the south end. This list covers five facilities with published rates so you can compare price, features, and access before you commit.

Storage rates in Saskatoon shift regularly and promotions change often, so treat these as starting points and confirm current pricing directly with each facility.

1. StorageMart – Three Saskatoon Locations

StorageMart has three facilities in the city: 345 Portage Avenue in the south end, 3010 11th Street West, and 901 1st Avenue North near downtown. All three list climate-controlled units. Portage Avenue has drive-up access, the other two have drive-in loading bays so you can unload out of the wind, and 11th Street West also offers boat and RV parking. Advertised rates start from $19/month at 1st Avenue North and $44/month at the other two for the smallest units, rented month to month StorageMart.

Good for: Anyone who wants a climate-controlled unit close to home, a covered place to unload in winter, and a low starting price.

2. Access Storage – Four Saskatoon Locations

Access Storage is the biggest operator in town, with self-storage sites in the north end (121 Gyles Place), the east side (331 103rd Street East), near the airport (801 45th Street West, a self-serve location), and in Marquis Industrial (118 Piggott Crescent), plus portable storage containers. Heated units are available, and the company advertises a four-weeks-free move-in offer Access Storage. Published rates sit at the higher end of the market: a 5×10 was listed from $172–$184/month in 2026 StorageAtlas.

Good for: Renters who want the widest choice of locations, heated units, and a strong move-in deal to offset the higher monthly rate.

3. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Saskatoon – Millar Avenue

U-Haul's facility at 2310 Millar Avenue is indoor and climate controlled, with indoor loading, individually alarmed rooms, and free loading carts. Pricing is posted unit by unit: a 5×5 from $89.95/month and a 5×10 from $114.95 to $124.95/month depending on the floor. There's no deposit or admin fee, the rate is locked for the first 12 months, and U-Haul offers a month free with a truck or trailer reservation. Storage access runs 5 am to 10 pm daily U-Haul.

Good for: Smaller loads, anyone who wants to see the exact price before calling, and people renting a truck at the same time.

4. Mini Mall Storage – Two Saskatoon Locations

Mini Mall Storage runs two sites on the north and east sides of the city, at 830 48th Street East and 302 105th Street East. They carry the usual range from 5×5 up to 10×20, along with vehicle, trailer, boat, and RV parking Mini Mall Storage. This is one of the cheapest published options in the city, with a 5×5 listed from $56/month and a 5×10 from $78/month in 2026 StorageAtlas.

Good for: Budget-minded renters and anyone who needs a unit and a parking spot for a trailer or RV in the same place.

5. Space 2 Spare Storage – Koyl Avenue

A locally run facility at 2505 Koyl Avenue, near the airport. Units range from 40 to 440 square feet with drive-up, 24-hour access, on-site security, and video surveillance. Pricing is simple — the same posted price for every unit of a given size, with GST the only added charge, and discounts for long-term rentals Space 2 Spare. Smaller units were listed from $69/month in 2026 StorageAtlas. Ask whether a unit is heated before you book, as it isn't stated on their site.

Good for: Drive-up convenience, round-the-clock access, and dealing with a local operator.

What Does Storage Cost in Saskatoon?

Across roughly 40 storage facilities in Saskatoon, published rates for a 10×10 unit average around $238/month, with a wide spread from about $73 to over $400 depending on the operator and whether the unit is heated. The cheapest published rate in the city is $56/month for a 5×5 StorageAtlas. The big brands tend to price higher and discount the first month; the local operators tend to post a lower rate with fewer promotions.

The Saskatoon-specific thing to weigh is heat. An unheated unit gets as cold as the outside air, and a Saskatoon January regularly means -30°C or colder. That's hard on electronics, liquids, instruments, vinyl, and anything with glue or moving parts. If you're storing through the winter, a heated or climate-controlled unit is usually worth the premium. It's the one corner we'd tell you not to cut.

Need Help Moving Into Storage?

Getting your things from your home to a storage unit is the part most people don't plan for — especially with a Nutana walk-up staircase, a third-floor apartment near the university, or a driveway that needs shovelling first. If you need small movers in Saskatoon and a vehicle to handle the heavy lifting, that's exactly what we do.

Our Saskatoon rate is $140/hour for two movers with a 2.5-hour minimum, or $85/hour for one mover — whether you're loading a unit in the north industrial area, off 8th Street, or anywhere else in the city. Get a quick quote through our Saskatoon moving services page.
